POCATELLO â€” Looking for food, fun and entertainment for the whole family?Â Plan to attend the Family Fun Day at OK Ward Park on Quinn Road on Saturday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This event is free admission and activities for all and is sponsored by the Idaho Central Credit Union and the Idaho State Journal.
A variety of booths will offer everything from educational animals from the Pocatello Zoo to information from Idaho Power, Dentistry For Kids, IDEA Gem Prep, Pocatello Head Start, Health West, Alpine Animal Hospital, State Farm Insurance, Highland High School FCCLA Club, and Americorp Volunteers.
The Bannock County Sheriff Department K-9 officer Sergeant Jeremy Taysom and the K-9 dog Arno will be there at 2 p.m. for a demonstration.
Family Fun Party will have a jump house and their inflatable obstacle course along with the ICCU Green Machine and Aaronâ€™s Furniture showcasing Blueray TVâ€™s.
The Bannock County Sheriffâ€™s Office K-9 Unit will provide demonstrations and the Chubbuck Fire Department will have a fire engine on display.
Portneuf Air Rescue will be at the event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to give tours of the new emergency helicopter.
Idaho Operation Lifesaver will be offering free train rides on their model train around the park.
At the OK Ward Park Pavillion KORR 104 DJ Kelly Martinez will be playing music and emcee the pie eating contest at 1 p.m. sponsored by Perkinâ€™s Restaurant.
The pie eating contest is open to children ages 8 to 12 and will have prizes awarded by Popcorn Chillers Shop.
Photo opportunities with the Party Princesses and Smokey Bear and healthy snacking demonstrations by Americorp will also be located at the Pavillion.
Gate City Boxing Club will be holding boxing demonstrationsÂ and members of the Gate City Grays will be on hand to sign baseball cards.
Brooklynâ€™s Buddies Lemonade and Brain Freeze Sno Cones along with Texas Roadhouse, Snappyâ€™s Funnel Cakes and Pizza Pie CafĂ© will be on hand to provide a variety of food and drink.
