POCATELLO — Nationally known presenter Lillian Hubler is scheduled to have a free family-fun workshop on April 24 at the Idaho State University Pond Student Union building from 7 to 8 p.m.
Hubler is the founder and President of Time to Sign Inc. She’s trained more than 50,000 educators nationwide, and is the foremost sign-language trainer of young children’s educators. She is a dynamic speaker and a talented linguist. She’s fluent in Spanish, English, French, Italian and German, as well as American Sign Language.
One of Hubler’s goals is to help parents become more connected with their children in a way that doesn’t exhaust them. Her presentations are engaging fun, and guided by educational best practices. Participants have been amazed at the amount of sign language they have learned in a single enjoyable session.
Hubler’s presentation is part of the Eastern Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children’s Early Childhood Conference, which is being held the same weekend. The conference is a great opportunity for child-care providers and early childhood educators to get professional development training hours, while connecting with others in their field and in the community.
Doors will open for the family fun workshop at 6:30 p.m.
Admission is free, and Lillian will have merchandise for sale. Please visittimetosign.com for additional information.
